KORN Offers All Kinds Of Goodies For 'Family Values' Pre-Orders
December 1, 2006Launch Radio Networks reports: KORN is offering a boatload of incentives for fans to pre-order the upcoming "Family Values Tour 2006" CD and DVD at either Amazon, Best Buy or FYE beginning today (Friday, December 1). Those who pre-order will be eligible for a pass-code to enter a protected site and view exclusive streaming content, a free download of an exclusive MP3 from the tour that's not on the CD or DVD, signed merchandise, a digital coupon for a free pair of lawn tickets to the 2007 edition of the trek with the purchase of regular seats, advance ticket pre-sale notices and an automatic entry to win VIP passes and a meet-and-greet with the bands on next year's tour.
This is the fourth "Family Values" CD and/or DVD release and KORN singer Jonathan Davis told Launch why he's especially pleased with this one. "I mean, I've liked all the 'Family Values' CDs, it's cool," he said. "I've always dug live CDs 'cause you get to hear how it was, like, being there and, I don't know, I like hearing bands live. So I think this one, the CD and the DVD, is really, really good. I like the DVD because there's a lot of interviews with the bands and — bands talking about other bands — and you really kind of get the feel of what it was like to be out on tour with us."
The "Family Values Tour 2006" CD and DVD will be released separately on December 26. Both will feature live tracks from all the acts that appeared on this past summer's tour, including headliners KORN, DEFTONES, STONE SOUR, FLYLEAF, 10 YEARS and others.
Among the highlights on the CD will be KORN doing a mash-up of "Shoots And Ladders" and "Wicked" with DEFTONES singer Chino Moreno, as well as STONE SOUR's Corey Taylor joining KORN for "Freak On A Leash", and a performance of U2's "Pride (In The Name Of Love)" by FLYLEAF with singer Richard Patrick from ARMY OF ANYONE.
The three previous Family Values tours, in 1998, '99 and 2001, have also been documented on CD and DVD.
KORN is currently writing and recording material for its eighth studio album.
